UMD Dining Services is partnering with various student organizations on campus to present the Multicultural Dining Series.

Once a month, Superior Dining will host a dinner, serving meals from students involved in one of seven cultural organizations. Although the recipes may come from students’ homes, the food will be cooked by UMD chefs.

For creator Tyler Wacker, it was important to see proper representation in the meals served on campus.

“I thought that it was important for me to go ahead and contact a bunch of Multicultural  Center groups that I was already involved in and see what I could do in order to make sure they had some representation in the community,” said Wacker.

The first dinner was hosted by the Asian-Pacific American Association on October 11. The next dinner will be on Dec. 8th, hosted by the Black Student Association.
