Local Artist, Jackie Eckhoff, Tells Her Story

Jacy (Jackie) Eckhoff, second-year UMD student and art education major shares how she became a small business owner. She makes jewelry and printed/painted T-shirts then sells them at art shows, fairs and concerts. Her artistic nature and social personality sparked the beginning of Eye in The Sky Studio, which she runs with her friend and roommate, Sawyer Ranum.

This short profile tells the story of her creative process and how it translates to selling her products around the Duluth area. Jackie and Sawyer had a table at the annual event, Art in Ordean Court, right here on campus! Their booth was incredibly popular as the supportive UMD art community asked questions about their handmade jewelry and tee-shirt designs.
