UMD Homecoming Kicks off Next Week

Homecoming week begins this Sunday, Sept. 21! Read below to discover what exciting events are in store. From cheap UMD merchandise to food trucks galore, there won’t be a dull moment. 

Service Sunday

UMD Students can sign up to help around the community Starting in Kirby commons from 10-12 p.m., join Kirby Program Board to put together a team and clean up Duluth.

Merch Monday

Starting at 10 a.m., stop by the Kirby Garage and pick up some UMD Homecoming 2025 merch. T-shirts will be sold for $5 along with other free merchandise.

Top the Tater Tuesday

Students can enjoy a free Top the Tater treat from 10-2 p.m., along with the chance to win prizes and giveaways.

Water Works Wednesday

Put a team together and head to Rock Pond in Bagley! Here you can participate in cardboard canoe races along with watercolor painting and other water activities.

Treat Yourself Thursday

All day Thursday local businesses are giving UMD students discounts with their U Card. These businesses include Duluth Coffee Company, Duluth Pack, Oasis Del Norte, Wired Whisker and more! Some deals are available all week, where some are only Thursday.

Food truck Friday

Head to Ordean Court between 11-2 p.m. and enjoy some food trucks from restaurants around Duluth, including Love Creamery, The Food Stand, Saigon Cafe and the Gumbeaux Guys.

Saturday

The weekend presents the UMD Game-day Parade and Homecoming football game. The parade starts at 10:45 a.m. at Malosky Stadium, where student organizations will showcase their members. After that, UMD football plays against MSU Moorhead at 12 p.m.
