UMD notifies community of student death

The University of Minnesota Duluth gave notice to the community Monday afternoon of the passing of Aidan Zent.

Zent was a second-year student of UMD’s engineering program who graduated with high honors from his high school in Richfield, Minnesota.

Students who are seeking support are encouraged to speak with a trusted faculty member, or reach out to UMD Counseling Services.

Faculty seeking support can utilize the Employee Assistance Program.
