On Friday, Nov. 21, the normally quiet streets of Downtown Duluth were roaring with excitement, dancing and of course, Christmas floats. The cold November night didn’t keep Duluthians away from seeing all the holiday cheer filling the city streets.

The 86 float parade did not disappoint as people screamed and hollered for local schools, dance groups, universities, military groups, and numerous other organizations making their way down superior street.
Some Duluthians were even selling light up toys and hot chocolate around the parade path.
Among the people watching the parade was 19-year-old UMD student and community service officer Ben Raunch.
Rauch was excited about the parade and seeing the community come together. “I think it’s a great chance for the city to come together.” Rauch explained

“Especially because I feel like a lot of the time, overall we're all kind of divided so it’s nice to have a place we can gather and interact with one another.”
Smiles and laughter was all you could hear in the city’s downtown as the event came to a close and the 67th Christmas City of The North Parade entered the history books.
